Slingco cable pulling grips, cable support grips and a growing range of ancillary products are widely used in the installation and maintenance of overhead power lines.
Slingco have developed a range of high strength cable grips (also referred to as Chinese fingers, cable stockings, cable socks or mesh grips), hand woven from galvanised wire, for use in pulling of cable and all common conductors. The flexible eye of the grips is compatible with the range of Slingco line pulling swivels which help reduce torsional strain and ensure a trouble-free pulling operation.
Suspension clamps and weights for use in pole line and distribution installation work are also stock items held by Slingco.
Slingco overhead line stringing products also include our recently developed Adjustable Array Roller which provides an alternative to standard running blocks, and offers substantial efficiencies in man-power, time and equipment when removing or replacing suspension fittings.
The Slingco Anti-Rotational Device (ARD) can be used in line stringing to prevent conductors from twisting as they travel over stringing blocks. During the stringing process, the ARD collapses as it passes over the block, allowing unhampered passage.
The most recent addition to the range of line stringing products is CatchBlock. This is a patented overhead line catenary roller system that guarantees that, if a conductor breaks during the stringing process, there will be no need to obtain road or rail possession. This also means reduced need for scaffolding, reduced risk of an accident and an overall more efficient operation.
Our range is continually developing and expanding - plus we frequently undertake custom engineering design - so if you don’t see the exact product you need, please contact us with your exact requirements.
