After years in the planning, we finally relocated to our purpose built, state of the art, 32,000sqft manufacturing facility in March 2021.
We were made aware of an area of land that could be a potential site in Rossendale back in 2018, and after 12 months of refining the specification and design, agreed terms with Barnfield Construction the following year. Work began on-site in January 2020… just before the world was knocked sideways by the global pandemic.
After what then became a truly difficult year for us all, we began to see the light and started to look forward to completion and then moving in. Our relocation mid-March has already brought employment opportunities to the area, with more planned and it has enhanced our manufacturing and warehousing capacity to support our customers' growing needs.
At the time of moving in, we employed 65 staff here and a further 31 in USA and India.
In addition, our sister company, Thurra Ltd, an engineering inspection firm, joined us in June 2021, bringing their in-house team of 14 with them.
Looking to the future, MD Nick Dykins commented:
