- Work safely. Ensure firm footing, be properly secured, and do not over-extend yourself while operating equipment.
Tool use and care
- DO NOT use this tool if there are any abnormailities or damage to any of its components.
- Inspect the tool before and after every use. Do not use this tool if it is damaged in any way.
- When having the tool repaired, always use factory Slingco replacement parts. Tools must be serviced and/or repaired by Slingco or a factory authorized service center.
N.B. The Slingco Reel Lifter should be inspected in accordance with ASME section B.30.20-1.3.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
When the reel is in its rolling position, insert the Slingco Reel Lifter into the central hole. Then pull the reel lifter eye (remove nut) to engage the toggle bar. By using the side flipping eye, the reel can then be flipped to the lifting configuration.
Once the reel is stable in its non-rolling position, lower the reel lifter down into the central hole.
Note: Once in the non-rolling position, the reel CANNOT be flipped back into the rolling position.
To lift the reel, use the reel lifter eye. The toggle bar will engage under the top of the reel.
The reel can now be maneuvered where needed, and wire can be dispensed.
